"M aking Sense of Martin Luther" is a new 7-session study by David Lose.
(wait, 7 sessions, isn't that how many weeks are in Lent....)
Skillful ly guide your groups through "Making Sense of Martin Luther" with this easy to use Leader Guide. This study also includes a DVD with segments for each of the 7 sessions. The virgin birth is a much-loved story in the Christian tradition. It is the standard "origin story" of Jesus, marking the incarnation of the Son of God. Today, however, many theologians dispute the tradition of the virginal conception on both historical and scientific grounds.

Ideas for Lent 2018

Ash Wednesday is February 14, less than a month away. 

Augsburg Fortress has a new devotional for Lent, "You Are the Way, 2018."

In the Gospel of John, Jesus describes himself with a seri es of  "I  a m" statements: "I am the light of  the world," "I am the good shepherd," I A M," and so on. This beautiful, full-color devotional explores one or more

"I a m" sayings of  Jesus during each week in Lent. Each reading is accompanied by a photo, a quote to ponder, reflection, and prayer. To date  we have sent out well over 3,000 Small Catechism pamphlets  to our Synod congregations!  Join the excitement, as our Presiding Bishop, Elizabeth Eaton, suggested by  "dusting off the catechism and taking another look at the basics of our faith."
