District Procedures Regarding School Closures
Dear Lovejoy Community:
I hope this finds you and your family enjoying a nice day off.
A reminder regarding district procedures concerning school closures seems timely, as the weather forecast indicates a possibility of inclement weather this evening. School closures will be determined based on safety. In the event of a school closure, notifications will be announced on the district's website, Facebook and Twitter pages, and through a special edition of Email Express. The announcement will also be available on the Lovejoy ISD app, which may be downloaded on both Apple and Android devices. To download the app for Apple devices, please click here. Additionally, notifications will be made to the following media outlets:
NBC, Channel 5
FOX, Channel 4
WFAA, Channel 8

If a school closure is determined before 9:00 PM on the evening prior to a school day, we will also share notification through school messenger. Based on your preferences in school messenger, you may receive one or all of the following messages: phone call, text message, and/or email.
