Open house for Reedville projects is Jan. 24
An open house for the planned safety improvements in the Reedville area will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Reedville Elementary School, 2695 SW 209th Ave.
The project will construct bicycle and pedestrian improvements on the following roads:
  • Sidewalk on the east side of 214th Avenue (between Tualatin-Valley Highway and Johnson Street)
  • Sidewalk on the north side of Johnson Street (near the 214th Avenue intersection)
  • Sidewalk on Alexander Street (between 209th Avenue and 198th Avenue)
  • Bike facility on 209th Avenue (between Johnson Street and Alexander Street)
Construction is anticipated to begin in summer 2018.
County staff will be available to discuss the proposed designs and solicit feedback from the public. No formal presentation is planned; stop by any time during open house hours.
The project is funded by the Washington County Urban Road Maintenance District ( URMD).

Public comment sought on the Draft 2018-19 Work Program
The public is invited to comment on the Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation Long Range Planning Draft 2018-19 Annual Work Program.
The work program identifies and ranks Long Range Planning staff's annual tasks including ordinances, projects and other transportation and community planning activities.
Comments may be submitted by Feb. 8 in one of the following ways:
  • Email: lutplan@co.washington.or.us. Include full name, street address, company/organization affiliation (if applicable) and any other relevant contact information
  • Mail: Long Range Planning Section, Department of Land Use & Transportation, 155 N. First Ave., Suite 350 MS14, Hillsboro, OR 97124
  • In person: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday at the above address.
