USGA ANNOUNCES NEW
'WORLD HANDICAP SYSTEM' FOR 2020
Earlier this month, the USGA - in conjunction with the R&A - announced that by 2020, a new World Handicap System will be adopted, replacing the current GHIN system and designed to provide all golfers with a consistent measure of playing ability globally.

NEW USGA-TOURNAMENT MANAGEMENT
SEMINARS SCHEDULED FOR THE RDGA OFFICE
Late last year, the
Rochester District Golf Association hosted two informational seminars at
Oak Hill Country Club to introduce the next-generation scoring system being provided by the
USGA to our
Member Clubs.
If your club was unable to send a representative to one of these sessions, there are four opportunities for your Club's management to attend a smaller training session at the RDGA office this spring.
Here is the schedule of smaller, in-house training sessions being offered:
Monday, March 5 - (10:00 am - 1:00 pm)
Monday, March 19 - (10:00 am - 1:00 pm)
Friday, April 6 - (10:00 am - 1:00 pm)
Friday, April 20
- (
10:00 am - 1:00 pm
)
There is room for 15 people to attend each session, on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to avoid overbooking for these dates, please email

at the RDGA office (

) with your Club Name, your party size (maximum of 3), and which date you wish to attend. We ask that you bring one laptop per group for interactive training.
