2017-2018 Calendar

February 2, 2018

The depth of the love of parents for their children cannot be measured.
 James E. Faust

Dear Parents,

It has been an exciting Catholic Schools Week at St A's for everyone!  It was kicked off with a well attended Open House on Sunday. We look forward to welcoming new families soon. I want to thank our parents and students who volunteered their time and effort in making this a successful week!  A special thank you to the HSA for all their gifts and kindness for the faculty. We recognize that they devoted a large amount of time to us and it was truly appreciated.

The students enjoyed visiting our annual Book Fair. Thank you to all the parents who organized our very own St. A's bookstore on campus!

This week the students decorated their classroom doors with the theme of honoring chosen holy saints and virtues.  Thank you to all families who contributed $1.00 or more to our fundraiser for the Malta House. The mission of the Malta house is to nurture mothers and families with necessary resources.

The teachers and staff enjoyed their Teacher Appreciation Luncheon hosted by the HSA. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed the planned activities. Each person received a passport to an hour of fun and games. The children made Valentines for the Veterans to show respect and appreciation for their service.

We hope you enjoyed the Science Fair on Thursday. The 6th, 7th and 8th graders presented their projects of experimentation using the scientific method and S.T.EM.

Each student in the fifth grade presented himself as his or her favorite scientist. These included Galileo, Sir Isaac Newton and Alexander Fleming, to name just a few.   The judges were Joan Williams from Greenwich Catholic School, Suki Nolte, retired Science teacher and our very own Chris Czescik.
