Rev. Laurie's Message
THE BISHOP IS COMING! THE CANON IS COMING!
We have several Red-Letter Dates coming up this month. On Sunday, February 4, the Rt. Rev. Dan Edwards will be making what is likely his last visit with us before his retirement in early 2019. He'll join us to preside and preach at both services.
On Sunday, February 11, Canon Catherine Gregg will be with us for the first of several planned conversations regarding our vision for St. Catherine's. She will meet with us from 10:00 to 11:30 (followed by the Eucharist) so that attendees to both of our services might participate together. This is a very important conversation because it is the beginning of the parish's defining itself now and looking toward the future. With my retirement in March of 2019, there will be much to do in preparation for your choosing a new rector to lead you into the future.
It's an exciting time, filled with much anticipation. We'll enjoy some finger food together as we meet. Your voice in this process is important, so please put this date on your calendar. As Sally Dickinson often says, "Be there, or be square!"
Christ's Peace,
The Rev. Laurie Chappelle

PhD, priest and clinical psychologist,
will be leading the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola at Trinity Cathedral on

Saint Ignatius of Loyola was a Basque priest and theologian who founded the religious order The Society of Jesus (Jesuits). "
All the things in this world are gifts from God," he wrote,
"presented to us so that we can know God more easily and make a return of love more readily."

Baby Bundles:
S
haring Our Blessings with Others
By Ann Crase
Baby Bundles is composed of and supported by members of St. Catherine's and Trinity Episcopal Churches.
With items donated by both congregations, we assemble "Bundles" of layette items for St. Mary's and Renown hospitals. They are then distributed by hospital staff to disadvantaged new parents who have little or nothing for their newborn.
CURRENT NEEDS
- Girls' solid color pants and bibs
- Boys washcloths, pants, and afghans or quilts
- Neutral-colored outfits and hats
- White onesies
Any help with these items would be greatly appreciated. Clothing should be between 0 and 6 months.
We still have enough diapers.
Monetary donations are always welcome, too. (We'll shop for yo
u!)
God Bless!
If you have any questions, please contact Susan Lombardi at 329-2044 or Ann Crase at 356-1155.
