Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday is February 14th.  All are welcome to gather with your brothers and sisters in faith for an intergenerational Ash Wednesday.  We begin with a light dinner in Community Room of the Seminary Church at 5:30 p.m.  A worship service including the imposition of ashes and Holy Communion will begin at 6:30.

Also, available are "table tents" with Lenten readings, prayers, and actions to help you and your family observe the 40 days of Lent.  These table tents are prepared by our mission partner Bread for the World.

For all who have their palms from Palm Sunday 2017, please bring them to worship this Sunday and next.  Place them inside the specially marked box located in the narthex.  After worship next Sunday, these palms will be burned to create the ash for the Ash Wednesday worship service.
The Ministry of OPC through Social Media
Week after week in worship, our music ministry touches hearts and minds.  Among the latest posts on Facebook you will find a video of our wonderful choir sharing the truly moving song "Through the Night"

The Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) program of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is a faith-based year of service in 22 sites around the world and in the United States. YAVs accompany local agencies working to address root causes of poverty and reconciliation while exploring the meaning and motivation of their faith in community with peers and mentors.

Program benefits include a regular stipend, housing, transportation and student-loan repayment options throughout the duration of the service year. The 2018-19 application process is now live and underway.

Creating a Healthy Oxford Community -
"Devotion in Motion"

Join the Miami University Center for American and World Cultures for the opening of "Devotion in Motion". This photo journalism project followed religious pilgrims in Oaxaca, Mexico and discovered a concert of issues: faith, hope, sacrifice and relationships.  The pilgrimage is described as a "kinetic, public, and intimate, feel-it-in-your-bones ordeal".

Exhibition Opening and Gallery Tour takes place on February 8 at 4:30 p.m. in the Lobby Gallery of MacMillan Hall.  A lecture followed by Q&A takes place at 6:00 p.m. in Room 212 of MacMillan Hall.
Your Stewardship Matters
If you do a good job for others,
you heal yourself at the same time,
because a dose of joy is a spiritual cure.
