From Rev. Claudia-

"Have you ever wondered how help is coordinated when one of our members could use a bit of assistance? Whether it is with needs for driving to a doctor's appointment and shopping or the delivery of a home cooked meal after an illness or surgery, St Francis by the Sea has always tried to "be there" in times of crises.

The process of making all of that come together however, is itself in need of some attention if we are to be able to continue to minister to our members.

On Sunday, February 4th,  I hope you will consider staying after coffee hour to take part in a meeting to discuss how best to reorganize this important  ministry of tending to the Parish Life of our congregation."

St. Francis Outreach ended  2017 on a high note ...with support and dedication and gifting to many of our neighbors

Here are some highlights from Outreach Chair, Sue Grindle:

"I am thankful for all of you and the work that has been done this year in the name of St. Francis Outreach.

Just think of all we have done in 2017! We helped to heat two buildings at HOME with WD inserts, we provided Christmas presents for 72 children, we fed 10 families at Thanksgiving, we helped to feed hungry students at GSA and BHCS, we sent four Sunday School students to Camp Bishopswood, we provided  major funding for the expansion of the Magic Food Bus, and sent checks to Nichols Day Camp, the Hancock County Jail volunteers, Emmaus, HOME, and more."

The first Outreach Committee meeting of 2018 authorized funds for dozens of pairs of warm sox, thermal underwear, and warm shirts. These were purchased and delivered to  H.O.M.E. last week before another round of frigid weather hit our area.

Merry Christmas, St. Francis by the Sea!
During St. Francis' Christmas Eve Service, Ambrose Chung assisted Rev. Claudia with unwrapping a very special gift!

Thank you, Bob Publicover, for this wonderful video!
