Special Bulletin Just In! Rabbi Bearman's Defense of Queen Vashti Published on The Forward

Many of us know that Rabbi Bearman has a deep love for the character of Queen Vashti.  When Vashti's reputation was maligned in a recent op-ed on The Forward, Rabbi Bearman responded by defending the Queen's character and legacy. The Forward published Rabbi Bearman's letter, written on behalf of the Women's Rabbinic Network, on Monday.   CLICK HERE to read what she wrote and then come on Friday to celebrate Purim with the Queens of Shushan!

Important Letters to Congress

From Rabbi Bearman:
Thank you to everyone who came last Sunday  afternoon to learn about the Reform Movement's perspective on gun violence prevention, write notes to the congregations closest to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, and send letters to decision makers in Washington.  Anyone who would like to continue this work can contact their representatives through the Religious Action Center's Legislative Action Center. Visit this important and helpful site by clicking here.

TBC Administrative Office Transition

From TBC's President: It is with mixed feelings that I share with you that Kim O'Reilly has resigned her position as Office Administrator. Recently, Kim was presented with an opportunity to follow her passion - which is promoting mental health education, sharing her expertise, providing access to services with a specific focus on extending reach to young adults in need of mental health assistance.  We could always count on Kim for her amazing organizational work, her commitment to completing every task to the best result, and looking out for all of us as if we are part of her extended family.  We will miss Kim and wish her lots of success in her future endeavors. As we look to fill the office administrator position in the coming weeks, please be patient with us- we will have temporary staffing in place, but it's going to take us awhile to bring new staff up to speed. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know!

With warm regards,

Cindy Baulsir, President TBC
