COMED AWARDS $1 MILLION GRANT TO ILLINOIS CENTRAL COLLEGE FOR SOLAR TECH TRAINING PROGRAM
ComEd (Anne Pramaggiore) recently awarded a $1 million grant to Illinois Central College (ICC) to start a solar technician training program. The training includes job readiness and soft skills instruction, and students will participate in over 58 hours of work-based learning at partnering businesses. Students receive a weekly stipend of $10 per hour while enrolled in the program.

Anna Rappaport, was quoted in an article about the
Society of Actuaries (SOA)'s ninth biennial Risks and Process of Retirement Survey, which identified an overall increase in consumers' level of concern for their finances both prior to and during retirement in 2017.
"I am encouraged to see pre-retirees and retirees alike taking steps to mitigate these risks, such as eliminating debt, saving money and cutting back on spending.
