With graduation fast approaching, the Counseling Office has started preparing the graduation program.  We are in need of all (colleges attending and not attending) acceptance and scholarship letters from the seniors.  We honor the seniors by putting this information in the graduation program. We want to make sure all students are included.  The deadline for submission is Thursday, April 26.  Please understand we have deadlines with the printer to meet, so it is imperative to have the information by the deadline.  After April 26, we cannot guarantee that the information will make it into the program. Donors needed for annual blood drive Feb. 9
Hoxworth Blood Center will be on campus Friday, February 9, and students have the opportunity to donate blood on this day. Students who donate play a significant role in supporting patients at the many local hospitals served by Hoxworth.he need for blood is constant, as is the need for maintaining an adequate blood inventory to meet the daily demand. Each day, Hoxworth Blood Center requires minimum collections from over 350 donors to meet community need. It is important that we support and encourage today's younger generation to give the "Gift of Life" to help achieve this goal now and into the future. Any student who wants to donate needs to have the permission form signed and schedule a time with your theology teacher. You may also see Mrs. Farwick in the front office with questions.

Ways to support

3rd Annual Day of Giving for Tuition Assistance-February 8
Through the generosity of many gifts from the great alumni of McNicholas High School, we have been able to make the dream to attend McNicholas High School, a reality for many students. Once a year we designate one day to emphasize to our community the great need for Tuition Assistance for many of our students. This year, February 8 is the annual Day of Giving. All funds raised in that 24-hour period will go towards helping current and future students receive a quality faith-based education at McNicholas High School.

The theme to this year's Day of Giving is "We Count on Each Other." Just as students count on many of us for the financial help to attend McNicholas, the alumni, faculty and staff, as well as parents, count on our students to work to the best of their abilities while students and to represent well to the community the high standards of McNicholas High School. Watch for more details on how to support our 2018 Day of Giving for Tuition Assistance as we get closer to the day.

PTSA

Want to know more about the PTSA, our events, and how to get involved?  Click here.

PTSA would like to sincerely thank....

Ursula Miller, Julie Nieberding, and Ginny Verdin for coordinating Cupcakes and Cookies for Catholic Schools week.  Rumor has it there were no student complaints, and definitely no leftovers.
We'd also like to thank the unsung heroes--those folks who baked--for their help, too.

Second, we recognize Susan Szabo and her team of dedicated volunteers who organized the annual Father-Son Breakfast last Sunday.  This beloved event was thoughtfully presented, well-attended, and enjoyed by all.  There was even something for "mom" too, as the gentlemen in attendance took home photos and flowers at the end of the program.

Finally, thank you to Lauri Zahumensky and her volunteers for organizing the Faculty Appreciation Breakfast on Teacher-In Service Day, this Friday.  We also mention those volunteers who agreed to bake casseroles, muffins and other goodies for our teachers.  We are grateful to our faculty for their continual service; and, we are grateful to the volunteers who represent us on this special morning of appreciation.
