5th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Praise in the Darkness
Tracy Keenan preaching

Dear Covenant friends and family,
It's dark and dreary February, coming on the heels of a dark and dreary January. We Central Ohioans have to find ways to remind ourselves of sunshine and warmth this time of year, so we zoom out to the bigger picture and talk about groundhogs and spring. We know that somewhere up there above the heavy cloud cover is that blue sky and bright sun.
Similarly, in the midst of morbid news and disheartening trends, it helps to be reminded that God is here, and that it matters what we do.
This Sunday we find some ways to praise God in the darkness and to find a way to grab hold of the promise that God provides what we need in order to be who we are called to be.

Grace and peace,
Tracy

The 12 Steps (used in recovery programs) are powerful spiritual tools for all of us. Franciscan monk Richard Rohr uses them, as do many psychologists, spiritual directors, and people dealing with life's “unmanageability.” In five weeks, we’ll explore the 12 steps as tools for drawing closer to God, living with integrity, and becoming free from old, destructive patterns. Led by Tracy Keenan.
