Colorado PGA Women's Championship Headed to The Ranch Country Club

The Colorado PGA Women's Championship will be held August 22-23 at The Ranch Country Club in Westminster. The tournament is open to all female PGA and LPGA members and apprentices in good standing whom reside or work within the Colorado PGA Section boundaries.

Golf Expo Volunteer Instructors Needed on Friday and Saturday

 

The Denver Golf Expo will be held Friday through Sunday, February 9-11. Volunteers are still needed to provide 10-minute golf lessons to attendees on Friday and Saturday. Volunteers are asked to fill 2-hour instruction slots. Earn one MSR for each hour of volunteering.

UCCS PGA-PGM Hosting Rules Seminar - February 9

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs PGA-PGM Program will be hosting a PGA Rules Seminar on Friday, February 9, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the University Center Room 302. There is no cost to attend; however, only 40 PGA Professionals can be accommodated. RSVP by end of day Monday, February 5.

Adam Scott Wins 2018 PGA Short Game Challenge for Colorado Section

The 2018 PGA Short Game Challenge was again held at this year's PGA Merchandise Show. Colorado's own Adam Scott, Program Director for the UCCS PGA Golf Management Program, won the Friday competition, earning $2,500 for the Colorado Section. Congratulate and thank Adam for his performance.

An impressive list of speakers has been assembled to present at the G-4 Summit being held at The Broadmoor on February 28. Speakers include:

Plummer, Rudy to Headline March 7 Teaching and Coaching Summit

The lineup for the Teaching and Coaching Summit has been finalized and will be held March 7, 2018, at Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club. The featured guests will be Andy Plummer and Matt Rudy. Attendees will receive eight (8) MSRs.

Visit Our Vets at Denver VA Hospital on February 14
 
The Colorado PGA is hosting its annual VA Hospital visit as part of National Salute to Hospitalized Vets Week on February 14 from 1-3 p.m. The Colorado PGA will provide hats and pins to hand out along with good wishes to our heros!

Scholarship Application Deadline is March 1

The PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship provides college scholarships for children and grandchildren of PGA Members. Applicants who apply but do not receive a PGA scholarship are eligible for consideration for the Colorado PGA scholarships.

Junior volunteers are needed to fill an exciting role during the upcoming 2018 U.S. Senior Open Championship being played at The Broadmoor, June 25-July 1. Junior volunteers, ages 13-17, interested in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be inside the ropes with the best golfers in the world are encouraged to apply.

There is no charge to use the inflatables for Golf in Schools Programs while there is a minimal fee to use them for summer junior programs or club events.

12 Colorado Caddies Awarded Evans Scholarships

A dozen current Colorado caddies have landed Evans Scholarships and will receive full tuition and housing at the University of Colorado beginning in the fall. A n Evans Scholarship is estimated to be worth $100,000 if renewed for four years.

PGA Professional Compensation Survey

PGA Professionals are asked to complete the 2018 PGA Golf Professional Compensation Survey by submitting results for the 2017 calendar year. You may earn up to two (2) MSR credits by completing this survey no later than March 31, 2018.

Brown-Rackley (44 Points) Win PGA Four-Ball Stableford Team Championship
Colorado Players Zaremba-Rudosky Tie for 15th

Mark Brown (N.Y.) was the least surprised person Tuesday when partner Joshua Rackley (N.C.) made birdie putts on the 15th and 16th holes to help the team win the PGA Four-Ball Stableford Team Championship at PGA Golf Club. Colorado golfers, Michael Zaremba and Micah Rudosky, tied for 15th at +28.
