Drugs Don't Work certification requires you to attend Supervisor Workshops annually.  These workshops will be at the Thomson Depot boardroom, and we'll have Terry Childers, Community Rep. from Bradford Health Services, as our guest speaker.

Business leaders participate in the 2nd Annual Principal for a Day program.

The Thomson-McDuffie Chamber of Commerce hosted the 2nd Annual Principal for a Day program the week of January 9th - 12th.  This program was sponsored by Ellefson Transportation Group.  The "Principal For A Day" project is designed to bring community leaders into schools from across the county to: Increase awareness among individuals in the business community of the strengths and challenges in McDuffie County schools; Demonstrate the employers commitment to ensuring a quality public education for all students; and form ongoing partnerships between individuals/businesses and McDuffie County.   more
C h amber career fair caters to students, veterans and community

The  Thomson-McDuffie County Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a career fair for the  Thomson-McDuffie community. 

The Jan. 23rd career fair, was held at the Thomson Depot, and allowed students and their parents, veterans and the general public a chance to learn more about employers in the area. more

Every month our Ambassadors visit different businesses to hold their meetings.  This gives them the opportunity to learn more about that business and expand their networking.  If you would like to know more about becoming a Chamber Ambassador, give us a call.  

The Chamber Ambassadors introduced a new program, "Business of the Week"Business of the Week is an opportunity for the Chamber members to showcase their business and their commitment to making McDuffie County a great place to live, work, and play. The Chamber partners with the Georgia Department of Labor to form the East Central Georgia Employer Committee, a partnership dedicated to bringing information to employers in the area regarding labor practices. 

The ECGEC meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 8:00 am for a program provided by experts in the fields of labor laws and hiring practices.  Contact the Chamber for information regarding upcoming programs or to RSVP for the event.
