Mission Presbytery Purpose Statement
We are Mission Presbytery, serving Christ in the World. In the Reformed Tradition, together we
  • Establish and equip congregations and sessions to carry out their missions;
  • Recruit, receive, ordain, develop, and care for those called to service in the church;
  • Enable mission and witness to the Gospel that congregations cannot accomplish alone; and
  • Steward our resources faithfully and generously.

We are better together.

In Appreciation

You may recall the Sending Hope Campaign before the holidays that requested cards for patients at the Georgetown Behavioral Hospital. Rev. Nicole Talkington is pleased to report that they received over 600 cards of encouragement for their patients. Your response is most appreciated!

After Hurricane Harvey, Rev. Charlie Schuler, First-Rockport, says that after a rough patch, things are moving along nicely. They returned to their sanctuary January 14 and while the "west sing" is still out of commission,they have use of the Fellowship Hall, Kitchen and Gym. They are grateful for your support. They are still "mucking out" so if you can provide more clean-up buckets, please contact Rev Schuler at [email protected].

Great news from Refugio! Gifts from PDA as well as from churches in Iowa, Illinois and South Carolina have come together to help. Through they were bundled up without electricity, the congregation celebrated Christmas Eve with a candlelight service in the sanctuary! Work is still going on, but they are closing in on being back in the sanctuary for good. As CRE David Tiner said, God and God's Saints have made all of this possible!
