Deep in the blanket of winter, the bear sleeps, the wolves hunt, and we find ourselves drawn around the warm fires of our life. As the sun gets higher in the sky we remember that every day the passing of winter brings us closer to the burst of spring. This portion of the year is the time of going within. To go within our selves, and delve the familial and friendly bonds we have developed. A time of strengthening our ties to this world of light and dark.
Happy new year to everyone, we have some wonderful news, prayers answered, and wish to spread the cheer. With the securing of our new Sweat Lodge site in Arroyo Grande, we will once again be having monthly Sweat Lodge! Location and timing are mentioned later in the newsletter.

Prayers Answered!
New Treasurer!
Please welcome Maurica Fitzgibbons to the COE board as treasurer. She brings a wonderful spirit and bright intention into our circle. As well, she has non-profit experience and is an amazing addition to the team.
New Truck!
We have acquired new to us truck! It's use will be in helping arrange and gather our ceremonies and helping in our medicine harvests.
New Sweat Lodge!
We are so excited about this! We have a new site in Arroyo Grande, located at
756 CA-227, Arroyo Grande, CA 93420.
We have a Sweat Lodge Building Work Party scheduled for Saturday, January 27 @ 9 AM.
The plan is to prepare the site (gather the willow, clear the area, build the lodge, dig the fire pit, create the altar, dig toilet facilities, and participate in a Sweat Lodge Ceremony). We can't tell you how excited we all are to be back in ceremony! After this we will be having regular monthly sweats.
If all setup work is done, we will have a late afternoon sweat!
What to bring:
Gloves
Tools, (Shovels, pickaxe, hoes, rakes, clippers)
Personal lunch
Potluck food for community
Water
A smile!
We are open to wood and Christmas tree donations! But what we really need is monetary donations. To get this site up and running it has been over a thousand dollars. We ask that if you are able, please donate to us here: Donation Page

Jan 27th Sweat Lodge Build and Ceremony
We have located a Sweat Lodge Ceremonial Site in the Arroyo Grande area! It's next door to the old site on Hwy 227 (aka Carpenter Canyon Rd.). When accessing the site, do not go to the house, access the back yard off of the side street La Vida parking along the road.
