Marquette Catholic High School wishes to extend its deepest sympathies to the Scholl family following the passing of Louise Scholl. Louise passed away at her home on Wednesday at the age of 90.

She is survived by daughters Paula Sheehy and Julie (John) Wojcik, together with four grandchildren, Erin (Justin) Ison, Peter Sheehy, Ben (Sarah) Wojcik, and Andrew Wojcik. 

Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Richard Scholl, one brother, Joseph Quartuch, one sister, Marjorie Davies, and one son-in-law Bruce Sheehy.

Louise was most proud of the time and financial resources that both she and Richard were able to share with both Marquette Catholic High School and Queen of All Saints Church to grow the Catholic faith in the Michigan City area. 

It was through her and Richard's generosity that Marquette was able to construct what is now known as the Richard and Louise Scholl Student Center on campus. The beautiful facility, which houses the student commons, gymnasium, weight room, locker rooms, global trading lab, world language lab, and administrative offices, was built and dedicated in 2000.

Memorials may be made to Marquette Catholic High School at 306 W. 10th Street and Queen of All Saints Catholic Church at 606 S. Woodland Ave. in Michigan City.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, Jan. 6th from 3 to 7 pm at the Queen of All Saints Catholic Church Legacy Center at 606 S. Woodland Ave. in Michigan City and from 9:30 to 10 am on the day of the funeral service. The funeral mass will be held on Monday, Jan. 7th at 10 am at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church with Father Kevin Huber officiating.   

Eternal rest unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
