Dear Jones Families,

Happy New Year!

In schools, we get to experience not one, not two, but THREE "New Year's Days."  Of course there is January 1st, the one everyone celebrates. But we also get to welcome the new school year every fall and the second semester midway through the school year.

Each of these "New Year's" provides us with a symbolic occasion to reset our mindsets or rev up our efforts, both in school and in our personal lives. Imagine, three opportunities to make resolutions!

Of course we can resolve to make changes in our lives at any time, regardless of the date. But isn't it fortunate to have these reminders scattered through the calendar?

I hope all of you had a wonderful, relaxing and rejuvenating holiday season--and made resolutions that will improve your life and the lives of those you love.

Best wishes and as always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at any time.

Sincerely,
P. Joseph Powers, Ph.D.

Dance Workshop Master Class
Jeff Award Winning choreographer Sawyer Smith (seated, center)

40 students participate in master class.
