Have your 2018 resolutions subsided already?
Thumbs up if you are succeeding with yours!
If not, here are 5 simple, easy to keep resolutions for 2018 that impact the earth and ocean instantly.
Can we count on you?
WHAT IF YOUR 2018 RESOLUTIONS WERE:
1. Say NO to straws

Volunteers pick up dozens of straws every cleanup and thousands upon thousands each year. Did you  know that Americans use enough straws each day to wrap around the earth 2.5 times!  It doesn't have to be so.
Seven unexpected dangers of drinking from a straw
2. Do more volunteer work

PBC offers lots of opportunities to volunteer - from Beach Cleanups to Habitat Restoration to joining our membership team and coming to meetings to share your ideas and work toward common goals.
3. Plastic water bottles no more

Find a glass bottle with lid, or buy a reusable water bottle or tumbler anywhere including on Amazon.   ...  don't forget to use Smile.amazon.com.
Remember to bring it with you to work, school, play, and travel. No more water bottles, coffee/soda cups or lids either!

4. Go on a walk, take a bag

Going to the beach for a walk? Walking the dog in the neighborhood? Why not take a bag with you to pick up some litter along the way?   Consider using the empty chip or bread bag.   It is a very easy thing to do and a you would not believe how much of an impact you could make by just picking up trash while enjoying your stroll.
5. Educate friends, family, peers

Talking to your friends and family about litter and sharing your love for Nature and the Ocean helps us all. Word of mouth is the most efficient way to educate others about marine debris and its effect on the wildlife. Don't be shy, be an advocate for 2018!

SEA STARS
SEA CHANGE
is our mission.
The Pacifica Beach Coalition is better because of you!
Help us do more in 2018, because:
We are very grateful for all the things you  helped us accomplish
in 2017 and we could not
be prouder for having such a caring and enthusiastic team of members and volunteers.
We spent 2017 educating the public about dolphins and showing how marine debris and trash has a negative impact on these mammals, it is now time to think about our 2018 Earth Hero honoree: the Sea Stars!

The Pacifica Beach Coalition and its entire membership is looking forward to working with the community, to learning and educating everyone about these incredible creatures. We are already planning some great events such as our Annual Surf Movie, Earth Day of Action & EcoFest, so we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Thank you so very much!
