Workshops on Lighting Design for the Stage
What?
Shelby County Players’ Technical Director, Greg Cox, will be hosting a series of workshops covering “Lighting Design for the Stage” next month. The workshop will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn about SCP’s current lighting system, in addition to getting hands on experience with our current fixtures and controls. The SCP team has a desire for and is committed to continual growth, community involvement, and community enrichment. That is why you do not need to be a pre-existing member of our organization to attend.
Where?
Each of the workshops will take place at SCP OFFSTAGE at 1416 S. Miller Ave., Shelbyville
When?
The workshops will be on Thursdays Feb. 1st, 8th, and 15th starting at 6:30pm. Expect each session to last between an hour and half to two hours.

Each workshop in the series will be a progression from the last. To get the most from this workshop series try to attend each night. The series will work through the basics of lighting design all the way through implementation.
