City Council Member Vacancy 

Are you interested in making a difference in Castle Pines? Castle Pines City Council is now accepting applications to fill a vacancy for Ward 1.

This special appointment fills mayor-elect Tera Radloff's Ward 1 seat that will be vacated on January 8, 2018, when she is sworn in as mayor. The term of this position expires in January 2020.

To qualify, applicants must  live in Ward 1  and been a resident of Castle Pines for at least twelve months. Completed applications may be dropped off at the Castle Pines Municipal Offices, 360 Village Square Lane, or you may submit them via fax, mail or email to  sharon.washington@castlepinesgov.com . For questions about the application process, please contact Sharon Washington, City Clerk, at 303-705-0226. 

The deadline to apply is  January 26, 2018, at 4:30 p.m . City Council will review all of the applications and make a selection at the February 13, 2018, City Council meeting.

Winter is officially upon us! In order to keep the entire road network accessible during a snow event, it's important for the City to prioritize roadways when clearing snow. PWSD and Rueter-Hess Recreation Authority Receive Distinguished 2017 Leadership & Service Award

The Parker Water and Sanitation District (PWSD) and Rueter-Hess Recreation Authority received the 2017 Leadership and Service Award in recognition of Significant Volunteer Efforts from the North American Lake Management Society.

PWSD currently serves 50,000 residents in the South Metro region, including parts of Castle Pines. PWSD has always been proactive in its objectives to provide the ever-growing population with a secure and long-term water service.

The Recreation Authority has begun programming recreational opportunities at the reservoir, hosting activities such as:
  • Open swim events
  • National hiking day
  • Fish stocking
  • Stand-up paddle board lessons

      
Upcoming Community Events

Special City Council Meeting
Residents are invited to attend a special meeting of the City Council on Monday, January 8, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. to say farewell to outgoing Council members and welcome new members. The newly elected mayor and councilmembers will be sworn in. A reception hosted by the City of Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce will follow the meeting. RSVP for the reception here.

Castle Pines Run Club (New Run Location)
Are you a runner hoping to meet other runners in Castle Pines? Then join the Castle Pines Run Club! The club will meet at the Plum Creek Trailhead (near The Meadows) at 5:30 p.m. every Wednesday. Runs are 3-5 miles long and runners of all abilities are welcome. Meet at Rockyard Brewery for a post-run social! Contact info@discoveryrunning.com with questions.
