The Ocean Acidification Information Exchange is a new interactive online forum to foster collaboration in the ocean acidification community. SOCAN NORTH CAROLINA STAKEHOLDER WORKSHOP REPORT

The North Carolina Stakeholder Workshop Report is now available on the SOCAN Website. North Carolina is among the most socioeconomically vulnerable states to future acidification impacts. In collaboration with NC Sea Grant and the Ocean Conservancy, this workshop brought together resource managers, industry and non-profit representatives and academics to discuss acidification and opportunities to move research, management and policies forward to address stakeholder needs.

SOCAN will host acidification stakeholder workshops in South Carolina and Georgia in summer of 2018. These workshops seek to engage stakeholders in acidification science and offer the opportunity for SOCAN to learn more about their data needs.

SOCAN is actively pursuing multiple funding opportunities to understand acidification and its impacts in the Southeast. Join the effort!

SECOORA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Ocean Acidification Program are facilitating the operation of the SOCAN to support and encourage discussions on ocean and coastal acidification in the Southeast region.
