Are you ready for an emergency? Is everyone in your household aware of your emergency plan? If you're not sure where to start, or maybe just want a refresher, join us for a presentation from the Red Cross on how to prepare yourself for an emergency. The presentation will cover different situations, including what to do in an earthquake or if there is a fire.
The Red Cross of Northern California provides relief to those affected by disasters with a volunteer network of over 7,000 people. The group also works to educate and empower community members on how to prepare, respond, and recover from emergencies.

De Young Museum presents- Revelations: Art from the African American South

A docent from the de Young will give a multimedia presentation on the museum's current exhibit: Revelations: Art from the African American South. The presentation is a celebration of African American artists from the South, and will discuss how despite often being marginalized by the mainstream art community, these artists have created compelling works that highlight the persistent issues of gender, class, and race.
