Finding the best job- New Richmond employee

Charlie Casarez, right, loads milk crates into a trailer with a coworker at Kwik Trip in New Richmond, Wis.

Unloading a truck at a busy, small town Kwik Trip store, Charlie Casarez breaks from a major product movement to help a customer carry a large milk order.

"He's great at tasks.  He's great at lists.  He gets stuff done," said Shift Leader Chris Neumann at the New Richmond, Wis. station. The reliable part-timer is often available to fill in on shifts, and lives right in town.

ProAct in Hudson helped Casarez find the job, and the young man came in with valuable retail experience in hardware, groceries and with a large scale department store.  He stocks the

cooler with milk, eggs, butter and other items, restocks ice and cups and handles the trash. Casarez was also looking forward to an upcoming work party.

"He's one of the more dependable people with shifts," said Neumann.  "He's here regardless ... when he's supposed to work when he needs to work, he's here."

Tall and strong, Caserez seems to handle boxes with ease, knows the system and is organized.  "It's the best one (job) ever, because I get see a lot of my old coworkers from Walmart," he said.

On call flexibility, great work
Do you like working occasionally?  If you enjoy people, can pass a background check and like the flexibility of an on-call position, contact ProAct today.  There are openings in Eagan, Red Wing and Hudson, Wis.

"The bottom line is flexibility.  ProAct is a wonderful company to work for.  If they called me and I couldn't come in, there was no pressure."  Barb Thoren, on-call direct service professional.

New posters highlight safety in cold weather

The stars are consumers from the programs in Eagan and their message is simple- dress warmly this winter - for safety, for bus riding privileges and in case of an emergency.

Printed on heavy stock paper, the posters feature a number of familiar ProAct faces and are on display in Eagan and Red Wing.  A drawing will determine who gets to take the large prints home this spring.
