MARCH 2018: Upcoming Deadlines
|
Early-career scholars in Africa and the MENA region are invited to apply to participate in one of two Research Development Groups, to be held in conjunction with the 2018 APSA Annual Meeting in Boston, MA. Selected participants will receive up to $1,000 in APSA travel grant funding. Learn more.
APSA's Centennial Center will host a teaching-oriented workshop for faculty of introductory courses related to American government from May 18-19, 2018. Led by Andrew Rudalevige (Bowdoin College) and Caroline Tolbert (University of Iowa & University of Delaware), this workshop offers a unique opportunity for faculty with similar teaching interests to refresh existing syllabi, develop new teaching approaches, and share best practices. The APSA Minority Fellowship Program spring applications are open! Established in 1969, MFP aims to increase diversity and the presence of underrepresented individuals in the discipline of political science. The spring round provides support to first and second year political science PhD students from underrepresented groups. Apply now.
APSA invites applications from early-career Arab scholars who would like to participate in the 2018 MENA Workshops. The two part program will be held in Rabat from September 24-28, 2018 and in Tunis from January 29 to February 1, 2019. Fellows will network with colleagues from across the MENA region and develop research related to "The Evolving Role of Political Institutions in the Arab World." Apply now.

APRIL 2018: Upcoming Deadlines
|
APSA's Small Research Grants support political scientists not employed at PhD-granting departments or who are in non-tenure track or contingent positions ineligible for departmental funding. Awards of up to $2,500 may be used for research activities such as travel to archives, travel to conduct interviews, administration and coding of instruments, research assistance, and purchase of datasets.
