Miss Widner's News
Dear Students, Parents, Grandparents, and Staff,
Congratulations to all our students who participated in the Spring musical "Fiddler on the Roof, Jr."   It was awesome, and the students did a tremendous job sharing their musical gifts and talents with the audience! A special thanks to Mrs. Laudeman, one of our 3rd grade teachers, and Mrs. Spoltman, our art teacher, who both spearheaded the behind the scenes. Mrs. Laudeman was the director and Mrs. Spoltman was everything else-scenery, stage crew, .... you name it! Awesome job, ladies! Also, many thanks to Mr. Bultemeyer, our IT Director at school. He was in charge of the sound which made the play spectacular!.
Speaking of gifts and talents, be sure to come to our Fine Arts Festival on Thursday, April 19 beginning at 6:00PM in the gym. This begins with a brief meeting from HASA and then we showcase all the wonderful talent at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School!! You also can peruse the hallways and see the beautiful art work form the students! It's a wonderful evening of fellowship!
Be sure to drop by Glenbrook Mall Friday through Sunday THIS WEEKEND (April 20-22) and see our school's CANstruction piece! All pieces go towards Community Harvest Food Bank. Be sure to bring many cans of food and put them towards our school's structure. It helps us with the vote!! Good luck to Team Pioneers!
ISTEP Part 2 is currently going on for grades 3-8 through May 4. This is an online portion of the test. Our final Spring NWEA Test will run from April 30-May 11! Fourth quarter is flying by quickly!

Have a wonderful week!

Miss Widner

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Monday, June 4th will be the date for our annual Field Day. I would appreciate your help, especially from those seasoned veterans out there. Our field day will be broken down into K-4 in the AM and 5-7 in the PM with lunch in between.

We are in need of the following donations:

Please send all donated items to the school office labeled "field day".

If you would like to volunteer, please complete the form below and return it as soon as possible to Mrs. Stronczek. Please feel free to sign up for morning/afternoon or both sessions if you wish. As a reminder, if you volunteer, be sure to have your Safe Environment Volunteer Background Check forms completed. If you are unsure, please check with
Miss Hohenstein at [email protected].

Support the Catholic Schools in the Fort Wayne-South Bend Diocese with a fun night out at the ballpark.  The Fort Wayne Tincaps will be playing the South Bend Cubs. The game will feature Tyler's Amazing Balance Act and post-game Fireworks (sponsored by Quality Dining, Inc). More importantly, the SEAS Show Choir will be singing the National Anthem so come out and show your support for this talented group of students!!!

BONUS!!! The school with the largest % of attendance (based on enrollment) gets $1 for every pre-sale ticket for Catholic Family Night. EXAMPLE: If the Tincaps sell 1,000 pre-sale tickets, the winning school gets $1,000. So invite grandparents, neighbors, and friends to increase our chance of winning.

Discounted tickets ($8 each) are available through May 4th and can be purchased via mail or online. Tickets are located in Sections 101 and 102 along the first baseline. The mail-in order form has a dedicated line to list your school/church name.  For online orders, you will be prompted to provide your school/church name during check-out and are also encouraged to put Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton in the "company line" on your customer profile.  Online orders can be placed here: https://tincaps5.streamlineticketing.com/group/event/CatholicNight18/.
