New York, NY January 22, 2018- Middle of January Governor Andrew M. Cuomo made public for fiscal year 2019 his Executive Budget, which continues the state's efforts to deliver on the promise of progressive government. The robust agenda includes many proposals, from fighting the new and unjust federal tax, protecting and supporting immigrants, responding to the opioid epidemic, expanding access to higher education, supporting local government, addressing the homelessness crisis, advancing women's agenda, and creating a fair criminal justice system and many other initiatives including ending the AIDS epidemic.

All initiatives that will continue to increase opportunity for New Yorkers and ensure the Empire State continues to serve as a beacon of equality, unity and fairness for the nation.

"New York has made progressive accomplishments and strengthened services for communities in need. New York more than ever needs to be at the forefront of progressive policies to make New York a more fair and equal State for all"- stated Guillermo Chacon, President of the Latino Commission on AIDS and founder of the Hispanic Health Network.

El Gobernador Cuomo Presentó el Presupuesto para el Año Fiscal 2019 


Nueva York, NY 22 de enero de 2018 - A mediados de enero, el Gobernador Andrew M. Cuomo hizo público el Presupuesto Ejecutivo para el año fiscal 2019, el cual continúa los esfuerzos del Estado para cumplir la promesa de un gobierno progresista. La robusta agenda incluye muchas propuestas, desde luchar contra el nuevo e injusto impuesto federal, proteger y apoyar a los inmigrantes, responder a la epidemia de opioides, ampliar el acceso a la educación superior, apoyar al gobierno local, abordar la crisis de las personas sin hogar, promover la agenda de las mujeres y sistema de justicia penal y muchas otras iniciativas, incluida la iniciativa para derrotar la epidemia del SIDA.
