Traffic changes occurring on 185th Avenue and Springville Road
The traffic pattern has changed on both 185th Avenue and Springville Road, due to ongoing construction.
The new traffic pattern will create a three-way stop intersection at Springville Road and 185th Avenue. The new intersection will include one lane of traffic in each direction.
The project includes widening of 185th Avenue (between West Union and Springville roads) and Springville Road (between 185th and 178th avenues), and installation of a traffic signal at 185th Avenue and Springville Road. The project is expected to be complete in September.
Additional improvements include continuous bicycle lanes and sidewalks along both sides of the road, safety enhancements at intersections, continuous street lighting, roadway drainage improvements and some landscaping.  Media release
Open house: Feb. 28: Springville Road
The public is invited to comment on additional improvements to Springville Road at an open house from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 28 at Portland Community College (PCC) Rock Creek Campus Event Center, Building 9, 17705 NW Springville Road.

This second phase of improvements will include widening of Springville Road between 181st Avenue and the PCC campus to five lanes: two travel lanes in each direction with a center turn lane. The PCC entrance will be realigned with 178th Avenue in a signalized intersection to improve traffic flow and safety. Media release
