San Jose Affordable Housing Stakeholder Outreach Meeting
On Friday, January 12, the City of San Jose Housing Department is hosting an outreach meeting to discuss the processes and implementation of the AHIF and IHO program moving forward. On December 19, 2017, the San José City Council took action on the implementation of the transition between the Affordable Housing Impact Fee (AHIF) and Inclusionary Housing Ordinance (IHO).   Full Story

New Gen Application Deadline This Friday, January 12
The BIA's New Gen class for 2018 is almost full with the application deadline this Friday, January 12. We are in need of some applicants in the trades who would like to learn more about the industry as a whole. Through educational seminars and fi­eld trips, each class will gain an understanding of the life cycle of a development project, while fostering long-lasting relationships with the members of their class and the participating builders.  Click here for packet and application.

Entries NOW Open for Excellence in Home Building Awards - Apr. 20
Our annual awards show will be returning to the Hyatt Regency San Francisco on Friday, April 20.

Entries for the awards are NOW open and the early entry deadline for all categories is February 2nd. Don't wait to register your entry.

All materials and forms are due Monday, February 26th.

Excellence Awards Kick Off & Entry Seminar - Jan. 17
Join us as we kick off the start of the Excellence in Home Building Awards season. We will have a seminar produced by the Sales & Marketing Council & Team PMP to guide you through the entry process from start to finish. In addition call out important dates and offer tips and tricks to write an entry that will stand out from the rest of the pack.  Registration open now!
BIA Installation of Officers - Jan. 26
Join us for our Annual Installation of Officers which recognizes the outgoing board of directors and welcomes the incoming leadership team for 2018. A cornerstone BIA|Bay Area event, the Installation provides an opportunity to show support for the newly inducted board and reaches all constituencies of the BIA|Bay Area. The program includes the prestigious recognition of our Chairman's Award, Associate of the Year and Advocate of the Year  North Coast Builders and the Construction Coalition. 

Proceeds from the event go to the North Bay Construction Corps providing hands on training for high school seniors
interested in a career in the construction industry.

HomeAid would like to thank our hundreds of supporters in 2017 who helped to complete 3 new projects, 6 community outreach events and 2 fundraising events to allow us to provide housing for the Bay Area's homeless families and individuals.  We appreciate your continued support as we have another 5 projects in the pipeline to build new lives for the homeless in 2018.  See our year in review attached.  Thank you and Happy New Year!
