GO BULLDOGS!
Basketball Update!!
It would have been very easy for the Lady Bulldogs to roll over, after last week's drubbing at the hands of Sacred Heart.

However, that was not the case  on Monday  afternoon as the Bulldogs bounced back and stood tall, never trailing in the game.

Maddy DeRosa led the way once again with 6 points.  Janie Dyer EXPLODED for 5 points in what was her breakout game. Brooke Leone added 4 points. Along with twin sister, Savannah, their poise and ball-handling ability added to stability that the Bulldogs needed to hold off a late rally by Greenwich Country Day School.

Norah McNicholls and Lauren Smith added a bucket each and were dominant  forces in the paint all day long.

Charlotte McGinness continued to make a case as the most valuable player for the season, scoring two points and shutting down GCDS all day long.

Caera Cope, Natalia Cota, Carielle D'ELISA amd Sophia Lasky orchestrated brilliant backcourt Bulldog defense to close out the game for the Lady Bulldogs.

The final score was 23-20. Kudos to an amazing opponent. JV girls have moved to 4 and 2 on the season.

Go Bulldogs!!

"Work as if everything depends on you. Pray as if everything depends on God."                                                   Saint Ignatius of Loyola

Dear Parents,

This week we will begin the Lenten Season on Ash Wednesday. Ashes will be distributed at 9:00 Mass.  Please click here to read Fr. Rob's reflection on the true meaning of this holy season.

The Stations of the Cross will begin Friday, February 16th  in the church. During the Lenten season, we focus on preparing ourselves for the holy day of Easter Sunday.

The weather has been challenging this month but we've made it through and are we're counting the days to spring.

The parish invites all families to the annual Pancake Dinner on February 13th from 5:00-7:00 pm in the school gym.

Have a wonderful Valentines Day this week! St. Valentine was a Roman priest and is a widely recognized 3rd century saint.

As a reminder, registration paperwork for the school year of 2018-2019 will be sent home next week.  Please return your forms on or before March 15th.

We know our staff members are great, but here are some things you don't know.

This week, featuring
Mrs. Linnane
Guidance Counselor / Dean of Students

1.) What is your favorite sports team?
The FLORIDA STATE SEMINOLES!! My dad went there and I was born in Florida so spent many many days of my life at Doak Campbell Stadium rooting on my team! My dogs name is Winston, named after prior FSU quarterback, Jameis Winston and I was recently gifted an autographed Jameis Winston FSU football helmet which is my most prized possession.....after my husband and puppy of course :)

2.) Who was your favorite elementary school teacher and why?
My favorite elementary school teacher was Mrs Hemp. She was my 5th grade teacher and I still keep in touch with her to this day. I loved her because she was a ton of fun, very kind and warm and always made us laugh. She was also very pretty! We had a class bunny and he even posed in our class picture. Mrs Hemp is from Maryland and had a great Southern accent that I loved.

3.) If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
Pink....it's my favorite color. A dash of pink can brighten up anything!

4.) Do you have any hidden talents?
Well, I was a figure skater my whole life. I used to skate in Symphony on Ice at the Hartford Civic Center and the New Haven Coliseum every Christmas. Ive skated with Nancy Kerrigan, Oksana Baiul and the Hartford Whalers. I have not skated in years so not sure it is still a talent!!
I am also an organizational wizard. Everyone tells me if I weren't a counselor I should be a professional organizer.
