REGISTRATION OPENS on FEBRUARY 15!
ONE OF THE NEW FEATURES OF THIS YEAR'S RDGA TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE is the introduction of the new
USGA TOURNAMENT MANAGEMENT system as our primary registration and scoring home! Tournament Management - or
TM for short - replaces our previous scoring system, BLUE GOLF. We are confident that you will find TM - as we do - to be every bit as easy to navigate as Blue Golf...and, in many ways, even better!
So, as we convert our Tournament Schedule information and registration to TM for 2018, actual registration for RDGA tournaments will not begin until FEBRUARY 15.
UNTIL THEN, HOWEVER, any RDGA member with a USGA Handicap Index through an RDGA Member Club (including the RDGA eClub) who would like to play in an RDGA event in 2018 may sign up for our new TM-based player profile, FREE OF CHARGE.
AND...by completing your RDGA TM profile now, it will be easier to sign up for RDGA events when tournament registration officially opens on February 15.

IT'S EASY - AND IT'S FREE!

PAST NYS AMATEUR CHAMPION
DAVE BONACCHI REMEMBERED
AS ONE OF ROCHESTER'S TOP GOLFERS
The RDGA is mourning the loss of East Rochester's
Dave Bonacchi
, who passed away on Christmas Eve at age 62 following a short but courageous fight with cancer.
Bonacchi, one of the Rochester area's top amateur golfers for many years, won the
1994 New York State Amateur Championship
in a memorable final match with his brother,
Paul Bonacchi
. Hosted by
Cobblestone Creek Country Club
, the 1994 State Amateur was, at that time, played in single elimination match play format, with the Championship Match being contested over 36 holes between the two remaining contestants. The Bonacchi brothers battled each other through 34 holes before Dave closed out the Championship with a 3-and-2 victory.
A funeral Mass was held Friday at St. Jerome Church in East Rochester.
