Nominations Open for 2018 Technology Woman of the Year
New Award Added for Emerging Tech Professionals
Rochester, NYDigital Rochester is accepting nominations for the 2018 Technology Woman of the Year Award now through March 9, 2018. This breakfast event, sponsored by Entre Computer Services, is designed to recognize, celebrate, and make visible the achievements of women in high technology fields. New this year, Digital Rochester added a second award, Emerging Technology Professional Woman of the Year, to honor technology professionals with fewer than five years of leadership experience.
 
Eligible nominees include women who:
  • Are in a profession within the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) field
  • Work within the Greater Rochester Metropolitan area (Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, and Wayne counties)
  • Are employed in a company whose primary product is technology or in a technology or technical department of a non-tech organization
Awards this year:
  • Technology Woman of the Year - must have a minimum of five years' experience in a leadership role
  • Emerging Technology Professional Woman of the Year - must have fewer than 5 years in an individual contributor or leadership role
The award recipients will be selected based on:
  • Contributions to the technology profession
  • Contributions to advancing the status, opportunities, and employment for women in technology professions
  • Community involvement
To nominate a local woman, complete a nomination form located on  Digital Rochester's website . A breakfast awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 26 at 7:30 a.m. at Locust Hill Country Club.
