The Future of State Procurement and Contracting
An RFP for a statewide eProcurement Solution was released on behalf of the Agency of Administration on September 20, 2017. You can find it here - E-Procurement RFP.
Proposals have been received. The RFP is under review and evaluation by a cross Agency evaluation team.
"The project objective is to implement an easy-to-use eProcurement Solution Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform comprised of six (6) functional workstreams integrated with the State-of-Vermont (SOV) VISION v9.2 management system thereby transitioning the SOV procurement practices from a paper-based process to an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) driven eProcurement Solution."
The Solution will drive greater process efficiencies throughout the State's procurement, contracting, and purchasing processes by:
◾ Eliminating redundant software applications in use
◾ Integrating and interfacing with the current State financial management system (VISION), related websites and other systems/applications
◾ Reducing manual, paper-based processes and process cycle times
◾ Improve Agency and Department/Vendor interactions with use of the Solution
 
Once implemented, the State can expect to receive the following objectives and business outcomes:
◾ Cost savings
◾ Customer Service improvement
◾ Risk reduction
◾ Compliance and reporting
◾ Performance Measures

PAC is Back!
Procurement Advisory Council

The Procurement Advisory Council (PAC) will be reconvening in April 2018.  The goal of PAC is to open the lines of communication with Agencies and Department providing a forum for discussion of policies and procedures, and make recommendations for the promotion and improved effectiveness of the statewide purchasing and contracting functions.
 
Teaming is the keystone to the PAC, and the collective strength which follows, will in itself present the catalyst for change as we continue to elicit and share ideas. If you'd like more information, please contact us.
