Last Chance to Help Us Meet Our Fundraising Goal: Give Today!

There are four days left in ACTA's year-end campaign, and we need your help to meet our fundraising goal. Supporting ACTA with a gift of any amount is a direct investment in traditional knowledge, cultural development, and the celebration of art. Our programs create opportunities for Californians to learn, connect, create, and belong in this world. Join our mission!

"There is a lack of investment in culture and art in our schools and in our communities in general. Being involved and engaged with ACTA really helps shift and change that narrative."

"The relationships in the class...at first it was kind of standoffish, then we all started figuring out what we're good at, what tools we can bring to the table with each other. We really don't have a connection outside on the yard with each other, but when we come in here we found a way to pull together in a very strong and unique way."

-Lamar, Music and Songwriting Student
 California Correctional Institution, Tehachapi
"The ACTA Apprenticeship program allowed me to spend more time training one-on-one with Farah Didi,  which was and is crucial to deepening my knowledge and understanding of Kathak. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to learn from an amazing teacher and mentor and to have been exposed to a wonderful community of artists who I can look up to."

-Sreoshi Sarkar, Kathak Dancer
Apprenticeship Program Participant Under
Master Artist Farah Yasmeen Shaikh

"ACTA...are the ones who helped me, to guide me in opening up the opportunity to preserve our traditional music, and preserve the language and culture of the Vietnamese community in America."

-Hang Le To, Executive Director
Au Co Vietnamese Community and Cultural Center
