2017 was a difficult year, with the hazing and alcohol overdose deaths of Tim Piazza at Penn State, Maxwell Gruver at LSU, Andrew Coffey at Florida State, and Matthew Ellis at Texas State. Four hazing and alcohol overdose deaths is four too many, much less four in one year. We at the Gordie Center are heartbroken for the families and communities impacted, especially as these first holidays without their loved ones are upon us. We remain passionate about educating students nationwide to prevent these tragedies from happening again.
Each hazing and alcohol overdose death reminds us of Gordie. Although Gordie died in 2004, the events of 2017 have proven that alcohol overdose and hazing remain an urgent national concern. Our mission at the Gordie Center is simple: Save a Life. Make the Call. We share Gordie's story through our evidence-informed, student-tested materials and programs on the signs of alcohol overdose and how to help a friend in trouble. We need your help to prevent other families from experiencing the loss that Gordie's, Tim's, Maxwell's, Andrew's, Matthew's, and so many other families have felt.
 
Our 2017 fall publication showcases a few of our supporters, and the aspects of our work that inspire their generosity. What inspires your gif t to the Gordie Center?
