New Council sworn in
It was a full house at Town Hall as Oakville's 2018-2022 Town Council was officially sworn into office on Monday night.

"We have much to be proud of in Oakville," said Mayor Burton in his fourth inaugural address. "We have slower and controlled growth, double the amount of community facilities, the healthiest finances in Ontario, increased greenspace and more."

During the meeting, the 2019 Council and Standing Committee schedule of meetings was approved, and Council appointments to the various advisory boards and committees were announced.

Upcoming events and other information
Outdoor rink coming soon!

A new outdoor ice rink is in the works at Trafalgar Park Community Centre. Staff  are currently making ice and getting ready to welcome skaters. The official opening is weather dependent and will be announced on oakville.ca and the town's social media channels. Once it's up and running the unsupervised rink will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. weather permitting.
Budget Committee meets December 11

The 2019 proposed rates and fees will be adopted at the inaugural 2019 Budget Committee Meeting on December 11. The Committee will discuss 
proposed changes to existing fees, estimated costs of administering and enforcing the  Building Code and Planning Acts  and the rationale for imposing or changing fees. The 2019 proposed budget will also be received.

The next Planning and Development Council meeting is on Monday, December 10 at 7 p.m.
