Cold Weather Tips for Water Service Lines
With the recent frigid temperatures, the Garrett County Department of Public Works - Utilities Division has been experiencing an increased number of frozen water service lines and water meters. In an effort to help prevent frozen water service lines and water meters, and the accompanying damage to homes and businesses during the continuing cold weather forecast for our region, the Utilities Division encourages citizens to allow the cold water to drip from faucets. Utilities Division customers should call the office at 301-334-6983, or our after-hours emergency pager at 240-442-1632 for any interruptions in water service.
