Parent Survey
As a reminder, our 2019 Parent Survey is still open. If you have a student at Tildenville, we ask that you kindly take a few minutes to complete this year's survey. All responses to the survey are completely anonymous.

Our goal is to ensure that at least 20% of our Tildenville parents complete the survey as it helps us directly with our 2019 school improvement planning. The survey link will be available through Friday, March 15, 2019. Thank you very much for your help.

Take the survey

Have a great week!

Parents, we would like to invite you to our Parent FSA Night on March 12th at 6:00pm

Topics of discussion will be:
* Third grade portfolios: what are they and how are they used?
* Summer reading camp for 3rd graders
* FSA level 1's in Reading: what that means and what other assessments can be used for promotion?
* The importance of the final i-Ready testing in April

New this Year!
Lakeview Middle School counselors will be at the Parent Night to discuss how the FSA scores in reading and math will be used to place your child in advanced-basic or remediation courses in middle school. No matter if your child is in 5th grade or in a lower grade, this is great news to have now!

PTA News

Hello Tildenville Friends & Family,

For the first time, Tildenville Elementary School is submitting hand art from its students to hang in the Florida Capitol Building during Florida Children's Week, March 24-30. The thousands of hands hanging from the rotunda remind our legislators of who is affected by the policies that they make (picture below).

Many thanks to Ms. Sickles, who has been tirelessly working during art class to create this opportunity for our students.

Currently in the Parent Workroom we are stringing together dozens of decorated hands from our students. The hand-art chains must be completed by Monday, March 4th, so that we can have time to mail them by the deadline.

Please consider coming by the workroom to help!

Here is information on Hanging of the Hands in the Capitol for Children's Week:

https://childrensweek.org/event/hanging-of-the-hands/

At the same time, Orange County Council of PTA/PTSAs is hosting a bus trip to Tallahassee on March 26th as part of our advocacy efforts for our children. Some of our Tildenville PTA members will be attending. We will be sure to take pictures! Please consider joining us!

Thank you for your interest & participation!

Best regards,

Wendy Birket
