Public Works, Buildings and Maintenance Division

The Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Division’s mission is to provide a safe, comfortable and clean environment for the citizens and employees of the City of Perry. Our goal is to protect the City’s assets by maintaining our facilities in their most original condition, while continuing to improve the facilities’ functional abilities to keep pace with the changing needs of the building occupants.
This division oversees the maintenance for all City buildings for the City of Perry. These buildings not only include the City Hall and Public Safety Building; it also comprises of the Water and Wastewater Plants, Animal Shelter, Perry Arts Centers, Perry Area Historical Museum, and more. At each facility they maintain the interior and exterior including lighting, plumbing, and HVAC. This division also keeps up the Downtown District which includes grass, sidewalks, flowers pots, and hanging baskets. They also maintain pedestrian lighting.
This division of Public Works Department is also a vital part of special events for day-of support and setup, which includes setting up barricades, sound systems, stages, waste disposal bins, portable restrooms, signage, banners, etc.
