Connecting People, Changing Lives
This spring, thanks to the Bob and Anna Lou Schaberg Fund of the VNHC, CrossOver opened our new Connections Center to serve refugees and immigrants in our community.

It can be very hard to adapt to life in a new country with a new culture and language. At the Connections Center, CrossOver and our valued partners are providing resources to make this transition easier.

This year, those partners and resources included:

  • Reestablish Richmond taught drivers education in Arabic, and ran a wellness group for Bhutanese immigrants.

  • Commonwealth Catholic Charities held an art class for a group of foster children.

  • River Road Church, Baptist ran a sewing circle.

  • The Richmond Life Center helped with the sewing circle and also hosted many networking events for Spanish speaking women.

  • CrossOver held Lay Health Promoter Classes in English and Spanish.
The Sewing Circle led by the ladies at River Road Church, Baptist teaches a valuable skill that can help families save money on clothes, and potentially lead to a source of income.
The Richmond Life Center through it's Love Awakening Project, offers classes on parenting, finance and other subjects while also serving as a social outlet for new immigrants who often face isolation if they do not work outside of the home..
Some of the art created by foster children as part of a class taught by Commonwealth Catholic Charities.
Donate today and you will be a valuable part of this important outreach effort!!

Financial gifts to the annual operating fund help keep our doors open and give our patients the medical care that they so desperately need.

CrossOver volunteers make a difference every day in the lives of patients, families, and the community.  Currently we have high demand for Dentists, Nurses, and OBGYN/WNP.

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
