2017 Contribution Statements
2017 Contributions Statements will be mailed no later than January 31, 2018. All contributions must be dated and postmarked by December 31, 2017, in order to be eligible for a 2017 income tax deduction. Please note the Parish office will close at noon December 29. If you have questions, email Meredith Beach or call her at (706) 724-2485 .

Creation Care Team

Saint Paul's Creation Care team will meet on Wednesday, January 3, 5:30 PM in the Conference Room. All members of the parish are invited to discuss plans for 2018. Join us and benefit from being with others who want to restore, protect, and promote the natural habitats and resources of God's creation.

Let the Good Times Roll! Plan to come to Mardi Gras, February 10, 2018 at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $50. They will be for sale in the Narthex at the 11:00 AM service every Sunday from January 7th until the event and in the church office and online starting January 4th, 2018. Senior High Epiphany Party

The Saint Paul's Choir needs basses
The Saint Paul's Choir needs basses. Could this be your contribution to our worship? Please contact Director of Music, Keith Shafer, and let him know of your interest. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30 PM and Sunday mornings at 10 AM.
VESTRY NOMINATIONS REQUESTED

The Vestry Nominating Committee is seeking candidates whom you believe would make outstanding Vestry members for Saint Paul's. If you'd like to suggest someone, including yourself, please contact Wright Montgomery .

VESTRY RESPONSIBILITIES
The basic responsibilities of the Vestry are:
· to help define and articulate the mission of this congregation
· to support the church's mission by word and deed
· to support the clergy
· to ensure effective organization and planning
· to manage resources and finances
· to attend monthly vestry meetings and annual vestry retreat
· to serve as liaison to assigned parish committees
This is a 3 year term.

MINIMUM CRITERIA
To be eligible for the Vestry, a nominee must answer "yes" to all of the following questions.
· Have you been confirmed or received in the Episcopal Church?
· Do you regularly attend worship services at Saint Paul's?
· Are you a pledging member of Saint Paul's?

CANDIDATE PROFILES
Each nominee slated to run for election to the Vestry will be invited to share a profile with the parish via our regular parish communications including the weekly newsletter.

Looking Ahead 
Pub Theology
Monday, January 8, 7 PM, Pizza Joint
Pub Theology kicks off the Second Monday of January (January 8, 7 pm) at the Pizza Joint in downtown Augusta! Join a varied group of young(ish) adults to explore some of the "big" questions around our meaning, purpose, and God. We welcome all faiths, but especially focus on the Christian perspective informed by the Episcopal tradition. We hope to grow in our understanding of ourselves and God as we gather together over drinks (whether coke or ale). All faiths and traditions are welcome and encouraged to join-just join us in courtesy, patience, humility, and a healthy dose of humor. For more information please email Ranie.
Tuesday's Music Live Returns 
Tuesday, January 9, 12 noon
Tuesday's Music Live, 30th season continues Tuesday, January 9, with a free concert by The Charlestones at  12 noon . Lunch, catered by It's Official, is available after the concerts by advance reservation. Wednesday Night Fellowship Dinner

Join us for our monthly fellowship dinner, Wednesday, January 10. On the menu: vegetable beef soup, potato soup, cornbread, green salad, and dessert. A reservation is not required; however, if you know you plan to attend, please RSVP to Todd Shafer so that we can be the best hosts.

Saint Paul's YP Monthly Gathering
Sunday, January 21, 7 PMBee's Knees 
Calling all 20-30 something young professionals, grad students, and wayward souls for a monthly gathering at the Bee's Knees for drinks and conversation following the Celtic Service. (Celtic Service attendance is not a qualifier!) We meet every 3rd Sunday for dinner after the Celtic Service to continue the discussion and enjoy the community! For more information, email Ranie.
