Weekly Letter From Our Pastor
Small Things, Big Difference: One Word
This weekend we kick off an exciting 4-week message series designed to help each one of us make 2018 a better year. Rather than focusing on some of the big things in our lives we might like to see changed, each Sunday we're going to zero in on one small thing, asking the question, "how can we can experience the transforming power of God's Spirit through a small, simple act of faithfulness?" We lay the foundation with this weeks' message, "Small Things, Big Difference: One Word"
Tornado Relief: New Video
In the aftermath of last Spring's tornado recovery, the Long Term Recovery Committee (LTRC) was formed, of which I was privileged to be a part. The task of our group was to allocate the hundreds of thousands of dollars donated to assist those affected with the big job of get back on their feet and rebuilding their lives. We wrapped up our work in December and this Sunday will be showing a brief highlight video during Sunday's SWAP time. Spoiler alert: it features our own Melissa Salmonson and Living Water's Donation Center in Cameron!
Acts of Kindness - 2018
The past 52 weeks we've been sharing our stories of gratitude under the heading, "Thanksgiving Bonus." To all who've been sending in their stories of thankfulness, THANK YOU! Hearing all your stories of thankfulness has been an awesome journey.
Beginning with next week's, 'Weekly Announcements,' we begin a new series titled, "Living Water: Acts of Kindness." Here's my request: using 1-2 sentences, send to either Lindsey Wood or myself your unique, one-of-a-kind stories of kindness. Thanks!

Chicken Coop Church
CCC worshiped for the first time the first Sunday in January 2014 and have worshiped as a church every single Sunday since. We will be celebrating 4 years of being a church the first Sunday in 2018. Living Water, I hope as many of you as possible - our parent church - are able to come to CCC on Sunday, January 7 as we give our worship, praise, and thanks to God for CCC and the opportunity to continue Loving and Serving others through Christ in the years to come.

New Preaching Series: Small Things, Big Difference
Beginning Sunday, December 31 we step into the new year with an exciting new preaching series: "Small things, Big Difference." Each week for the next four Sundays we'll be looking at one small thing we can do at the start of 2018 to help us better hear God's voice and follow his lead into the kingdom life and blessings He is preparing for us. Bring a friend and join us this New Year's Eve!

Carpet Cleaning Team
Carpet Cleaning Team - thanks for your work on moving out the chairs. You were an amazing crew! The carpets are cleaned and looking great; now it's time to move everything back into place. Grab a friend, a neighbor, a family member (or two) and come this Saturday morning at 9am. Bryan Wood will do the majority of the chairs with tiny markers on the carpet, but there are still many items that need to be brought back to their place. Thanks again!

Just For Kids: Movie, Snack & Yoga January 6th 1-4pm
Julie Emerson of the Tree House will be hosting a fun afternoon for kids ages 3-10yrs old on Saturday, January 6th from 1-4pm. Kids will watch Disney's Frozen movie, enjoy Do You Want to Build a Snowman Sundaes & Anna's Apple Punch, and do fun yoga poses inspired by the movie!
Cost is $15 per child. Pre-registration is appreciated so we have enough materials for everyone that comes, at www.thetree-house.com Scholarships available upon request.

Easy Yoga for Women:
Beginner's Class
Join us Sunday, January 7th from 11am-Noon. Julie Emerson will be hosting an easy yoga class for women who want to start the new year off right! This class is for all levels. Just bring a water bottle! Yoga mats will be provided.

In 2018 we're trying something new: a one-time Starting Point class held on a Sunday after worship. Join us as we create a delicious and healthy recipe perfect for winter on Sunday, January 21st from 11am-Noon! After we make it, we will spend 35 minutes practicing some fun and winter inspired yoga. Please wear comfortable clothes... we will be moving and grooving! (Each student receives a copy of the recipe to bring home.)
