IHN Host Week Help Needed
Our Church assists with the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN). IHN is a family homeless shelter located at 91 June St. in Worcester. Up to five families live at the shelter for various lengths of time.
When assisting at the shelter you eat with the families, play games, talk, visit and accompany the folks during this very difficult part of their lives. It is often nice to do a shift with someone else.
Due to some lapses in communication, our hosting week is really 1/21/18 - 1/27/18. Many of the folks who were signed up to help assist with either overnight or evening shifts have already been contacted regarding their ability to change dates. Thank you to all those who were so flexible!
At this time, we are in NEED of people willing to assist with the following three shifts:
Monday, Jan. 22nd - 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 23rd - 8:00 p.m. - 8:30 a.m.
Saturday, Jan. 27th - 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.

For your information, I was at the shelter last Sunday evening. It was a very pleasant time as my husband and I played Sorry and other games with a young boy. The families are doing as best they can. I hope we provided them some comfort.
