Working Effectively with Difficult People - 16 Hours

CURRICULUM: Difficult people come in all varieties.  This two-day course has been designed to provide strategies and techniques to help the attendee work more effectively with those that may be considered difficult.  During this class we will:

• Explain why some people may be difficult and how to work with or around them.
• Examine difficult behavior styles and learn how to effectively deal with them.
• Compare cultural and generational differences, and behavior styles.
• Review our own behavior style to see where we may be considered difficult to others.
• Review the communication barriers that can make people difficult to work with
• Understand the history and our working definition of attitudes and values
• Examine our own attitude
• Discuss the types of difficult bosses and how to best work with them.
• Explain the five thinking styles to better understand why people do what they do and develop the strategies to “think outside of our box.”

 ATTIRE:  Business professional or business casual. No shorts, t-shirts.

 WHO SHOULD ATTEND: All LE staff that need help working with others that may be considered difficult.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT:    Student must complete (1) one online assessment prior to the class.  The assessment link to complete will be sent via email approximately 10 days before the class after payment has been received and enrollment has been confirmed.

COST:   Early bird price of $349.00 is valid until date shown above.   After the above date the cost to attend goes to the original fee of 399.99 per student.  Seating is limited.

Cancellation Policy:  Class registrations are not confirmed until payment is received in full. Deadline to cancel and receive a refund for this class is April 23, 2018.   If enrollee cancels less than 14 days before the training date, they will be rescheduled to the next available training for this class or date of their choosing.   Student substitutions with out additional fee are accepted for last minute changes as long as the original student has not completed the assessment.   

INSTRUCTOR:  Lisa Gilbert BS, CPBA, CPDFA, CPTA, CPEQA, CAMSII, CPDNA and CEO of No-Nonsense Training Solutions, is a graduate of the Florida StateUniversity with a B.S. in Psychology.  She holds certifications as a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst, Certified Anger Management Specialist, and Certified Emotional Inteliigence Analyst.  Coach Lisa is also an Adjunct Professor with Broward College Institute of Public Safety (IPS).  She has successfully trained and coached hundreds of Corporate, Non-Profit, Government staff and leaders as well as Law Enforcement personnel, sworn and civilian staff and command staff personnel for over a decade.
