No School
March 5th is our first snow make up day.  If we do not use a snow day before then, we will not have school on Monday, March 5th.  Monday, March 12th is Teacher Inservice so there will be no school this day.
Scrip/Fundraising
The Frozen Foods Cookie Dough fund raiser will run through March 2. All orders must be turned in by Monday, March 5. At this time, that day is our first snow make up day. If we are out on that date, the orders are due no later than Tuesday, March 6. This is our last fund raiser other than Scrip for the current school year.

The World's Finest Chocolate sale ended on February 9. We sold 362 boxes of candy. All money was due in the office by Wednesday, February 14 . If you have not turned in your money, please do so as soon as possible. Dress down passes will not be sent home until the money has been turned in.

I have (3) $100 cards that can be used at Gap/Old Navy/Banana Republic/Athleta in stock if anyone is interested in purchasing them.

Scrip will NOT be available the week of Easter.

Meet Our Staff

Tanya Dallmeyer is one of the second grade teachers. She taught one year at St. Andrew in Tipton, MO and has been at St Peter School for the past 20 years.  All 21 years have been in the second grade! She has served on the Big Bucks Auction Committee and is currently on the St Peter Athletic Committee.
Tanya spent most of her childhood growing up in Eldon, MO and moved to Jefferson City right before high school. She is a graduate of Helias Catholic High School and went on to Lincoln University. She earned her degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood as well as a Masters in Education.
Tanya and her three children are members of St Peter Church. Hannah is a freshman at MSU, Hailey a Sophomore at Helias, and Jude 5th grade. Tanya feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to teach in the same school as her children. Many of her coworkers have watched her children grow up here which makes them more like family than coworkers.
The Dallmeyers enjoy playing with their yellow lab Charley. They also love spending time fishing, swimming and just relaxing at their family cabin up north just outside of Edina, MO.
Tanya loves watching her son play baseball, football & basketball. When she isn't busy with her family she enjoys working in her yard, making salsa, helping her mom at the farmer's market. She also loves searching for pieces of furniture and giving them a new look.
A couple of years ago Tanya started training for her first half marathon and was able to cross it off her bucket list! Her goal is to finish two more before she turns 50!

Lenten Discipline
During Lent, we are asked to devote ourselves to seeking the Lord in prayer and reading Scripture, to service by giving alms, and to sacrifice self-control through fasting. Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence. (For members of the Latin Catholic Church, the norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal. The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon members of the Latin Catholic Church from age 14 onwards.)
Rice Bowls will be available again at the church for use in almsgiving; money is used for the hungry locally and globally. RETURN RICE BOWLS AT HOLY THURSDAY MASS.
St. Peter Church will have the usual 2 Masses per day, Penance at various times, Stations of the Cross, special adult education available on Thursday nights, the Blessed Sacrament exposed 24/7 for prayer, and many other opportunities to pray, fast, and give alms. Please pray especially for those who have entered the Church this year and now experience their final preparation for reception of the Sacraments on Holy Saturday.

The state is fixing the Visitor Parking Lot across the alley from our play area starting this week. Please use caution when entering and exiting the alley and on occasion traffic may move a little slower so plan ahead. Be sure not to form two incoming car lines until you have reached the gates to school, as that exit needs to remain open for the construction.
They are also beginning work again on the Selinger Centre and there will be construction vehicles in the alley. Please be extra careful when using that area.
