First Spark Grantee!

After three months of active engagement, the Spark Initiative team is pleased to announce that Women's Impact Fund will invest $50,000 in Tutor Charlotte, a first-time collaborative effort led by Read Charlotte and United Way to provide trained, one-on-one "active" reading tutors to 20,000 CMS students in grades K-3.

Making a Lasting Impact:
Women's Legacy Event

Hosted by the Foundation For The Carolinas

The Women's Impact Fund Development Committee has organized the "Making a Lasting Impact: Women's Legacy Event" with the Foundation For The Carolinas.  Women's Impact Fund members are invited to a lunch and learn discussion about planned giving. Hear firsthand from a panel of female philanthropists, who will share their stories as you consider your own charitable legacy.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Kathleen Bambrick Meier, our Operations Associate, has decided to leave the Women's Impact Fund. During her almost three-year tenure, Kathleen has been instrumental in ensuring our organization has run smoothly and our social media presence is relevant and engaging. Her last day is Jan. 31. We thank Kathleen for her many contributions and wish her continued success!

Session I - Tuesday, February 6

Women's Impact Fund partners with the Lee Institute to offer this stand-alone introductory program.  The purpose is to help you identify your passions, explore the "right" organizational fit for you, and understand various elements of "acing" the board recruitment process. There will be a moderated panel of WIF members sharing their wisdom and personal experiences. 
Cost: $10
