Sanctity of Life Sunday
Sunday, January 21
This Sunday, we reaffirm our commitment to the sanctity of all human life. This commitment is a firm promise to walk beside brothers and sisters on the most difficult paths of life - from an unexpected pregnancy, to the uncertain days of illness as death draws near, and the scores of paths that appear to human eyes to be marked by nothing but disappointment and crises.
God has prepared us to minister to one another and to our community by allowing us to see His goodness in these difficult situations. We proclaim the truth about His power over life and death. He walks ahead of us on the paths of life.
We encourage you to visit the Memorial to the Unborn in the Historic Matthews Cemetery, next to our campus. This secluded spot is open to anyone who wants to remember a child, offering a quiet presence to know God's care for them.
We support families walking on difficult paths of all kinds and are ready to connect those who grieve with counselors who know the pain of loss and the hope of Christ. We want to comfort those who mourn. If you are struggling right now, we invite you to speak to a pastor or an elder. Call our church office at 704-847-3505 or learn more on our
Pastoral Care webpage.

Free Resource for Post-Abortive Women
Sunday, January 21
Sanctity of Life Sunday is often a high-profile day in many churches. However, many women and families sit in the pews and silently struggle with the guilt, pain, and grief of a past abortion decision.
Living in His Forgiveness is an in-depth Bible study for the post-abortive woman. This book is a detailed study of the forgiveness of God and offers the hope of peace and complete restoration. If you are struggling with this issue, please visit the Caleb Ministries table in the north lobby of the worship center this Sunday morning for your free copy of the book. For more information, visit
calebministries.org and
abbeysplace.org.

Supporting Christ Covenant in 2018
Our Commitment Sunday worship service on January 14 offered a way for families and individuals to provide the church with helpful guidance for budgeting and ministry investment during 2018. If you haven't had a chance to make your commitment, you can still submit your commitment card via the offering bags or by bringing or sending it to the church office. If you do not have a commitment card, you can print one from
our Finance webpage.
