Citizen Science & CoCoRaHS

Did you know that volunteers all over the country are helping scientists and weather forecasters collect precipitation data? If you have an interest in weather and can volunteer five minutes a day, this informational session about the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network is be for you! CoCoRaHS (pronounced KO-ko-rozz) is a grassroots volunteer network of backyard weather observers of all ages and backgrounds working together to measure and map rain, hail and snow in their local communities. Learn why scientists and other people need precipitation data, how to measure precipitation accurately, and how you can help from your own yard.

Library Brewery Trivia

Come to Basic City Beer Co. for an evening of craft beer and trivia fun hosted by the WPL. Teams can consist of up to six adults. Prizes will be rewarded for first and second place winners. Ages 21 and up. The trivia is free-beer and snacks are on you.
