Guest Speaker Friday, March 2
The Home and School Board is delighted to be hosting Chris Sandy on
Friday, March 2, 2018 from 9:15-10:30 a.m.
Chris Sandy is a motivational speaker and author who has traveled to over 40 different states and spoken to over a million students, parents, educators, corporate employees, and military service members nationwide. Chris was featured in the Double EMMY Award Winning Television Documentary "Enduring Regret: Chris Sandy Living Life After Causing Death." Chris uses his life journey to connect with people of all ages to spread his incredibly powerful message. Chris' mission is to motivate people to accomplish goals, overcome adversity, and make choices matter. We hope you will consider joining us on

Spring Musical Tickets on Sale this week!
Tickets for the spring musical Best of Broadway will be on sale starting this
Wednesday, February 28 - Friday, March 9 in the cafeteria during all lunch periods. The performances are
Thursday, March 8 - Saturday, March 10 at 7:00 p.m. and
Sunday, March 11 at 2:00 p.m. With show-stopping numbers from The Sound of Music, West Side Story, The Wiz, Newsies and Les Misérables to name a few, everyone will enjoy this musical revue honoring the 60th anniversary of St. Pius X! Tickets are $10 and all SPX students get one free ticket -

Dance Concert Tickets on Sale, March 14
Tickets for the Spring Dance Concert will go on sale
Wednesday, March 14 - Friday, March 23 in the cafeteria during all lunch periods. The performances are
Thursday, March 22 - Saturday, March 24 at 7:00 p.m. and
Sunday, March 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the Young Center. Tickets are $10 for this very popular Fine Arts event and all SPX students get one free ticket. Make plans to get your tickets early - these shows always sell out!

Guitar Master Class Offered Friday, March 9
On
Friday, March 9
we will have the privilege of hosting a master class with, yet another, Grammy Award-winning guitarist, David Russell. Mr. Russell is considered one of the world's greatest classical guitar players and has played professionally for over 40 years. David Russell will be flying in from Spain to work with our students on Friday for the master class that will take place 8:45 to 10:00 a.m.
Russell will also perform a concert at Spivey Hall at Clayton State on
Sunday, March 11 at 3:00 p.m.
Students and parents will be able to purchase tickets for the discounted price of $10 (regular $50). Details can be found here.

Spring Blood Drive, March 22
St. Pius X will be hosting the annual Spring Blood Drive on Thursday, March 22 in the SPX gym. Be a part of giving the gift of life!
All student sign-ups will be in the breezeway outside the cafeteria during lunch Monday March 12 - Wednesday March 14. Please encourage your students (age 16+) to participate in this worthy cause. Blood donation counts as a Work of Mercy.

Class of 2018 Graduation Information
We have had many requests for information regarding tickets for graduation activities happening in May. For information including the schedule, click here. Extensive information (cap and gown distribution, exam information/schedule, graduation ceremonies instructions, and when to pick up graduation tickets, etc.) will be presented at the senior parent meeting on March 27.

Georgia ADAP Certificate Information
Parents/Students needing a Georgia ADAP certificate should send an e-mail to
Chad Garrison with the following information:
1. Full name as it appears on the child's birth certificate
2. Date of birth
3. School year and semester the student took health
Please send the request at least three days before the certificate is needed. This should be requested ONLY if your child is testing for a Georgia Driver's License.
