March for Our Lives
Register TODAY for March for Our Lives

The Lutheran Episcopal Advocacy Ministry of New Jersey (LEAMNJ) is organizing buses to Washington, D.C. so that members of the Diocese of Newark, the Diocese of New Jersey and the New Jersey Synod of the Lutheran Church can join the March For Our Lives, a gun violence prevention march, on Saturday, March 24.

We are encouraging churches to send groups of interested youth, ages 13-18, along with one adult chaperone for every one-to-five youth. Other interested adults are also welcome to participate as space allows.

To participate, you must indicate your intent to purchase a ticket on a bus by submitting the Interest Form by TODAY, Feb. 28. Once LEAMNJ has coordinated the number of buses, a registration form with payment options will be made available and pick-up locations will be announced. Find out more.

Invitation to hold a Service of Lamentation on March 14

On the one-month anniversary of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, Bishops United Against Gun Violence is inviting cathedrals and churches across the country to hold services of lamentation to pray - for the victims of the Parkland shooting and all victims of gun violence, and in preparation for marching on March 24. It is their hope that congregations might be able to offer prayers of lamentation as part of already-scheduled Wednesday evening Lenten programs. See the list of scheduled services and sample liturgies; follow Bishops United's Facebook page.
